Our full-day Delhi sightseeing tour covers the essential highlights of both Old and New Delhi in a single, well-structured day. You will experience the contrast between the Mughal-era walled city of Shahjahanabad (Old Delhi) and the grand colonial avenues of Edwin Lutyens’ New Delhi — two cities that together tell the story of India’s capital across seven centuries.
Starting at $69 per person, the tour includes a licensed English-speaking guide, private air-conditioned vehicle, all monument entry fees, and hotel pickup and drop-off anywhere in Delhi. This is our most affordable tour and the perfect introduction to India’s capital.
How Is the Day Organized?
The morning is devoted to Old Delhi. We begin at the Red Fort (closed Mondays), the massive 17th-century Mughal fortress where India’s Prime Minister hoists the flag each Independence Day. From there, we walk to Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques, and continue with a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk — the 400-year-old bazaar where spice shops, sweet makers, and textile merchants operate much as they did in the Mughal era.
After a lunch break (our guide will recommend restaurants based on your taste and budget), we shift to New Delhi. The afternoon covers India Gate with a drive along Kartavya Path toward Rashtrapati Bhavan, followed by Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar.
