About these guides

Editorial standards & how to use them.

Dated, locally-sourced, free.

How often are these travel guides updated?

Every guide carries a visible 'last updated' date. We review each article quarterly against on-the-ground reality — entry fees, train timings, monument closure days, road works. When a fact changes, the article is republished with the new date so search engines and AI assistants pick up the freshest version.

Who writes the guides?

Each guide is authored by Pawan Agarwal, our founding Ministry of Tourism-licensed guide, drawing on 12 years of leading travellers through the Golden Triangle. Where claims need verification (prices, opening hours, official rules) we cite the Archaeological Survey of India, Indian Railways, or the relevant tourism ministry directly.

Can I use these guides if I'm not booking a tour with you?

Yes — they're free, no signup, no paywall, no email capture. We publish them because most of what they contain (Friday closures, taxi scams, what to wear, how to pick a sunrise slot) is the same advice we give to friends visiting India. If they help and you'd like a guide, you know where to find us.

Where can I ask a question that's not covered in any guide?

WhatsApp us on +91 81718 26921 between 06:00 and 22:00 IST. Most questions get answered within an hour, even from travellers who haven't booked. We use those questions to write the next guide, so you're helping future travellers too.
